Mr & Mrs Swinnerton

Bank holiday weekend has been a busy one over at Marc Osborne Photography. We had a quite unique situation of photographing two weddings on one day on Saturday with my lovely and talented wife Ceri photographing the second wedding. 

First up was Mr & Mrs Swinnerton’s wedding at Drayton Manor, photographed by myself (Marc). Bridal prep was hosted in one of Drayton Manor Hotel’s lovely Presidential Room’s. The bride, surrounded by her bridesmaids and mother was a picture of relaxation as they all got ready for the big day. Once the bridal prep photos had been completed I dived downstairs to meet up with the groom and party. Ben and his groomsmen were all in great spirits and being kept on their feet by Ben and Vicky’s youngest son, who I later found out during the speeches, has that much energy it took three grown men to wrestle him into his suit!!! After a quick drink to steady the nerves it was time for the ceremony.  

The ceremony was hosted in the Parkview room which had been dressed by The Bridesmaids and looked stunning, with the starlight backdrop and beautiful hessian and floral chair sashes (my new favourites). The guests were treated to some lovely music courtesy of Chris Keys which helped set the right mood for the wedding.  The Paige boy and Flower girl entered walking down the aisle hand in hand and there was no holding back the tears. They continued to flow through the heartfelt ceremony. After Ben and Vicky had tied the knot we moved on down to the carousel bar for drinks and photos. Despite it being a bank holiday weekend we managed to complete the formal photos and make our way round the incredibly packed park and lake without getting bothered by the few patches of rain that appeared. 

Once the wedding party had been suitably fed and watered it was time for the speeches. Having two best men was a brave move by Ben, both best men spoke lovely words about the bride and the bridesmaids before laying to Ben and made sure every person in the room was laughing. These two  easily gave the best Best ma speeches I have heard, the stories were so funny and the groom took it all so well! The three of them are legends!  

The evening was the perfect mix of dancing, laughing, socialising and of course  a little bit of drinking. It finished off a lovely day for a very lovely couple. It was a pleasure to document their day and I can’t wait to start editing all their photos.
