Mr & Mrs Cobb

2022 is a go!

This weekend it was the turn of Tina and Mark to tie the knot and they have the special honour of being my first wedding of the year!

The day started off with bridal prep at Tina & Mark’s house and I was immediately greeted by Percy their gorgeous dog! Everything in life is better with dogs so I feel a petition should be made to make the attendance of dogs at weddings compulsory! Who’s in?

Joined by Tina’s parents, stepdad and bridesmaids it was a super chilled out morning. With Reg, Tina’s dad entertaining us all with stories from the past, there was a lot of talk of parties, ladies, ladies with glass eyes and much mischief! Tina’s parents, stepdad and bridesmaids were all just the loveliest and so welcoming!

I then dived over to Wilnecote Church to meet up with Mark, his best men and the rest of the wedding party. Arriving at the church it hit me just how insanely windy it was! An absolute beaut of a day for January, all except for the insane wind! Damn you weather!

The ceremony was perfect, a very nervous Mark soon calmed down with the help of the very welcoming and funny Vicar, Oliver. It is not every day a photographer is welcomed into a church, let alone with no restrictions! It was lovely to be able to capture the wedding without fear of moving around quietly. If only more Vicars and Priests allowed this! Oh and I can’t not mention that Percy the dog was in attendance throughout the wedding to! Again, weddings are always better with dogs!

After an attempt at a confetti walk through in near gale force winds it was time to head to my second home – Drayton Manor Hotel. My last 5-6 weddings have been here, and I love working here as I always get such a warm welcome from Nicci and her team, they are all so helpful <3 Today was a first at DMP for me though, I have never been to the park when it was 100% closed, it was so strange seeing the park empty, it was awesome! Once we were done in the park, I headed into the Park View Suite, Chris Keys was setup ready to entertain the wedding party and the room was dressed by Keelie from the Bridesmaids and Perfect Day Wedding Flowers. The room looked and sounded amazing!

My day finished as the wedding guests sat down to their afternoon tea, today was the perfect wedding to get the 2022 wedding season underway with.

Next up for me is the Drayton Manor Wedding Fayre in March. I am hoping to meet lots of new couples as well catching up with some of my couples that are booked in with me for 2022/2023.

A massive thank you to Mark & Tina for picking me to document your wedding day. Congratulations!

Marc <3
