Beth & Matt

Christmas eve eve weddings are always amazing, I have been lucky to capture a few over the years. This time it was the turn of Beth & Matt, a super lovely couple from ‘up north (north to me anyway). The whole day from bridal prep to church to reception was carried out in the same village and it was a beaut of a day.

As I write this it is now Christmas eve so I won’t write to much so you can get to the photos quickly. As I often do, here are some of my highlights of their lush wedding.

*The look of shock on everyone’s faces when I didn’t know what oatcakes were
*dreamy candlelit church ceremony
*Everyone’s faces when singing ‘ding dong merrily on high’ as they realised just how long the gloria part goes on for (second wedding in a row this has happened at and it makes me smile)
*Beautiful fairy lights hanging from the roof of the reception venue
*Amazing speeches featuring Ask-it-Alian, Andy Murray, The best man being a high school bully, falling down stairs, accidentally telling your new mother in law to F*** off and a joke that was so offensive it can’t be repeated. I really did try to find out what the joke was, but no one was brave enough to tell me :o(
*Awesome band playing decent tunes that had the dance floor full – also a special mention for playing The Darkness – Christmas Time, that is not an easy song to pull off!
