A cheeky little update – June 2020

So, it has been a few weeks since I last posted a Covid-19 inspired update. A lot has changed since though and with the guidelines the UK government has released today I thought now was a good time to post a little update about what I have been up to and what will happen going forward. I have managed over the last few weeks and months to move a massive amount of weddings, next year is going to be such a busy one for me, but I can’t wait. We all have an awful lot of celebrating and partying to make up for!

As of todays guidelines, we are now allowed to host weddings of ’up to 30 people, but no more, can attend a marriage or civil partnership, where this can be safely accommodated with social distancing in a COVID-19 venue. The maximum numbers includes all those at the ceremony, including the couple, witnesses, officiants an guests. It also includes any staff who are not employed by the venue, which may include photographers, security or caterers. It does not include staff employed by the venue.’

A little bit of positive progress finally! It is only a baby step towards where we all want to be, but it is something and hopefully if the R rate stays on the trend we want it to, we will get some more progress in the not too distant future. For all my couples still booked in for 2020 the same advise applies from me as earlier in the year. If you feel you want to reschedule, I will be here for you and will do my absolute best to find a new date that you can change to.

New Package Alert

I thought that it might be wise to add a fourth package with everything that is going on in the world. This is designed to cater for those that want to have a smaller wedding, there is a smaller number of hours included and of course this costs less than my current packages. I feel this is something that could be quite useful over the coming months. This package still includes lots of my beautiful natural and fun photos and there is the option of having either one of my presentation boxes or one of my beautiful albums. This package will be added to my package page within the next day or two tops.

Competitions

With the small amount of extra free time I have found myself with I have been busy training and watching hours and hours of webinars. I have also been entering some of my non wedding related images into competitions. I have been lucky enough to win some lovely awards for them too. I thought it would be a good chance to show off some of the images I take when I am not sneaking around weddings. So, take a few minutes to have a browse through below to see some non-wedding related images.

An hour in the life shoots:
This is something I am super excited about! I am going to start offering family photo shoots inspired by how I shoot weddings. I am calling them ‘an hour in the life’ as these shoots will be lifestyle shoots, me documenting your family be awesome and lovely together. This can be on location at somewhere beautiful; think parks, woodland, reservoirs etc… or in the comfort of your own home. These can easily be done socially distanced too so is perfect for the current world we are living in! More on this will be released very soon. I will need a sample family to help me too (for free!!)
